We’re LIVE! A warm welcome to our new website and this – our first ever blog.
Below is a press release we sent out when first starting the company, gives you a little insight into me and my love of technology.
It’s a new dawn it’s a New Age for Nuage Technology.
As The Apprentice finishes for another year it was great to see inventor and fellow Dyslexic ; Tom Pellereau taking the title.
Cannt right propally? Me neither. Cannt evan spel. However that has not stopped me in my endeavour for achieving my business goals.
Dyslexia wasn’t a word that was too well known when I was growing up. Instead of help and assistance that is offered now in schools, I was left ridiculed, put into manual “hands on” classes and thought of as “dumb.” And yes, that was just the teachers!
My saving grace? Computers. At 8 years old my father bought me a Dragon 32 one of the first home computers. I found very quickly I could communicate far more easily and as I typed, I could look the same as everyone else. Relief! No scrawly handwriting here.
It was 19 when I drew up my first contract for other kids on the block to use the Internet (we were the only house on the estate that had a connection at the time) I charged them £1.00 and hour, making a clear profit for me of 40p! It was a start. Since then I have sold and consulted on everything from Dial Up to Fibre Network high speed broadband.
I believe having dyslexia has helped me focus and focus is one thing that is needed in business. Much in the same way as Tom spoke about his dyslexia with words which had freed up other parts of his brain in so much that he can visualise clearly a problem, solution and how it can be made, I operate in a similar way.
With my ability for single minded focus that is both logical and strategic I have been able to save companies thousands of pounds in unused technology, software and services, providing them with only what they would require with room to grow.
I can only explain it as “seeing” the solutions to fit situations; I am able to map out their technology infrastructure in my mind and a clear way forward unlike many of my contemporaries.
Having recently opened a my own Ltd company –Nuage Technology which is set to take the region by storm with its Cloud Computing (if you pardon the pun)
Cloud Computing has been the biggest buzz in technology in recent years as it frees you and your company up from being tied to the desk. Accessing your company’s data virtually anywhere has great benefits for any company, working when and where you do securely and easily
Technology has helped me communicate better with the world around and continues to be my passion in life.
